Mini Retreat - Mind, Body & Heart Balancing

Saturday 28th December 10:30-12 noon

 

It's a quiet, peaceful space to practice connection, gentle movements, reflection and heartfelt rest.

​

Gentle and quiet Yin and Yang Yoga followed by a brief moment for reflection on the past year and to contemplate ahead, followed by restful Yoga Nidra. Please bring your yoga mat, blanket, warm socks: The practice will be gentle and then still so wear something you know you will be cosy and warm in.


There is no fee as such but you will be invited to make a donation to a local refugee charity:

Refugees Welcome North Somerset. 

 

Location: Portishead Methodist Church Hall, BS20 6EN. Optional lunch at the Port follows at 12:15.

Mountain Retreat January 2023 - In Your Element - FULL

The retreat will be themed around the new year 2023 and the five elements of nature: prithvi (earth), jal (water), agni (fire), vayu (air), and akasha (ether or space). The elements correlate with the senses and with particular body parts and functions and each having an energy correspondent among the chakras. We will work together to bring about deep rest, gradually renew your energy, align your focus for the year ahead and most importantly leave you feeling in balance and connected to your true nature.
 

RETREAT ONE - Is a 4 night retreat from Saturday 14th to Wednesday 18th January

RETREAT TWO - Is a 3 night retreat from Thursday 19th to Sunday 22nd January

Portishead Charity Workshop and Lunch
Settling in Peace

December 30th at 10:30-12 noon in the Methodist Church

Followed by optional lunch in town

​

This workshop is going to be focused around rest and the nervous system. I will talk a little about the vagus nerve, the neuro-transmitter GABA and why daring to rest in this busy world is essential for our health and wellbeing. The workshop will involve a short talk, gentle hatha yoga flow, a small amount of chanting, yoga nidra and gong bath. 

In this special time in-between the festivities and the new year we will settle into a balanced and peaceful place, re-connecting together.

​

Please bring your own mat, blankets, pillows, props and wear layers. We will warm-up and naturally cool as we relax. Book online by donation. All donations will be split between two wonderful local charities, Be More Ben (The Benjamin Pritchard Foundation) and the Nicola Corry Support Foundation. Both charities provide crucial support for families at the most difficult of times and are run by incredibly inspirational people in the local area.

Nourishing New Year Retreat 2022

21-24 January (Full) and 4-7 February 2022 (Full)

Situated in a peaceful elevated location in the Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales UK, the venue is perfect for chilly winter days and cosy dark evenings with its underfloor heating, circular cone open fire, wood burner, hot tub and steam shower. With bespoke yoga studio and views from the huge double-height glass bifolds over the Black Mountains what better way to start your new year.

International Yoga Day And Summer Solstice - FREE Workshop

Saturday 21 June 2020 at 9am.

To thank you again for your continued support and company during lockdown I have put together a one-hour workshop for us. 

The workshop will be for existing students of Yoga Body | Zen Mind and will cover:


- Why we practice sun salutations
- The meaning of the number 108
- The significance of the solstice and yoga practice
- A gentle and energising 'rise and shine' yoga flow
- A pranyama exercise to balance solar and lunar energies
- Summer solstice hypnotherapy relaxation for creativity, identifying new adventures and fulfilling your life goals. (I am also a qualified clinical hypnotherapist - just in case you were wondering!)
